1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access our services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Leyland Transport LLC.
2. Service Description
Leyland Transport provides non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services throughout Central Florida. Our services include:
- Ambulatory transportation for patients who can walk but require assistance
- Wheelchair transportation with fully accessible, equipped vehicles
- Bariatric transportation for patients with specialized needs
- Special trips for medical appointments, dialysis, therapy, and personal needs
- Hospital admissions, discharges, and inter-facility transfers
All services are subject to availability and geographic coverage. We serve 13 counties across Central Florida — see our service areas page for full coverage details.
3. User Responsibilities
When using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when booking transportation
- Disclose any medical conditions, mobility aids, or special requirements that affect transport
- Be ready at the scheduled pickup location at the confirmed time
- Treat our drivers, staff, and vehicles with respect
- Pay all applicable fees and charges in a timely manner
- Comply with all safety instructions provided by our drivers
- Notify us promptly of any cancellations or schedule changes
4. Booking & Cancellation
We recommend scheduling trips at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee availability. Same-day bookings are accommodated based on availability. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- 24+ hours notice: No cancellation fee
- 12–24 hours notice: Up to 50% of the scheduled service fee may apply
- Less than 12 hours: The full service fee may apply
- No-shows: The full service fee applies and may affect future booking eligibility
Leyland Transport reserves the right to cancel or reschedule trips due to severe weather, vehicle issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make every effort to notify you as soon as possible and arrange alternative transport where feasible.
5. Payment Terms
Payment terms and accepted methods include:
- Services must be confirmed and payment arranged prior to transport
- We accept major credit and debit cards, Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and approved institutional accounts
- Additional fees may apply for extended wait times, after-hours service, multi-stop trips, or special equipment requirements
- All prices are subject to change. Current rates will be confirmed at the time of booking
- Invoices for institutional clients are due within 30 days of service
6. Insurance & Billing
For insurance-covered transportation:
- Valid insurance documentation must be provided prior to service
- The patient or responsible party is liable for any charges not covered by insurance
- We will assist with insurance billing but cannot guarantee coverage, authorization, or reimbursement
- Prior authorization, if required by your insurer, is the responsibility of the patient or referring provider
- Medicaid and Medicare coverage is subject to eligibility verification
7. Safety & Conduct
For the safety of all passengers and staff:
- All passengers must wear seatbelts or appropriate safety restraints at all times
- Smoking, vaping, eating, and drinking are prohibited in all vehicles
- Aggressive, threatening, or disruptive behavior toward staff will result in immediate termination of service without refund
- Passengers must disclose any communicable conditions that may affect transport safety
- Our drivers are not licensed medical professionals and cannot administer medications or perform medical procedures during transport
8. Limitation of Liability
Leyland Transport carries full commercial insurance and strives to provide reliable, safe service at all times. However, we are not liable for:
- Delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control
- Personal items left in or damaged while in our vehicles
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services
- Medical emergencies, changes in patient condition, or outcomes during transport
- Actions or omissions of third parties, including healthcare facilities or insurance companies
Our total liability for any claim arising out of our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific trip in question.
9. Privacy & Data Protection
We protect your personal and medical information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable HIPAA regulations. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein. We will never sell your personal information to third parties.
10. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time with reasonable notice where practicable. We shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of services beyond our direct control.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the revised Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our services following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
